Target Archery is a sport that requires concentration, strength, technique and ability to perform under pressure. It has been said that is a sport that does not attracts spectators and for that reason a new Olympic format was implemented on which the first day of competition there is a qualifying round: 72 arrows from 70 meters, archers are ranked from 1st to 64th From there is head to head elimination, first 18 arrows and the last 2 rounds 12 arrows. That sure makes it exiting.
Since I can remember I have been the biggest fan of the Olympic Games; the gathering of the best athletes on the planet competing for the title of Olympic Champion. My dream is to attend the Olympic Games in Athens 2004 Representing my country Guatemala. Guatemala is a small country in central America, we never won an Olympic medal that is why my dream is the dream of 12 million Guatemalans that like me want to see our flag flying in front of the Olympic Podium.
The top archers in the world have been shooting for many years, I have been shooting for 2 years, the only way to archive my goals is following a strict training and competing plan, getting the support from my family, National Archery Federation and friends.
